ORIHIME
Empowering Women's Health: The Impact of ORIHIME in POP Surgeries

  • ORIHIME is a PTFE mesh, used in pelvic organ prolapse (POP) surgeries.
This condition can impact any woman, particularly those who are elderly or have undergone childbirth. It involves the descent of pelvic organs, including the urinary bladder, intestines and uterus through the vaginal opening. POP is not a minor disease among women, however the feeling of shame prevents them to consult; in some cases, it leads women to seclude from social life and to become bedridden.

Our development began when we recognized the doctors' need of reliable mesh supply for POP surgeries, which were initially reliant on imported materials.
Despite anticipating numerous hurdles during the development phase, our commitment to enhancing the daily lives of women remained stable.

  • Our focus centered on material selection and the fabrication process of the mesh. Unlike conventional polypropylene (PP) mesh, which occasionally resulted in post-surgery discomfort impacting patients' quality of life, we turned to PTFE—an adaptable and inert material—with the overarching goal of bolstering patients' well-being post-surgery.

The journey wasn't without challenges, as PTFE presented complexities in weaving and maintaining structural integrity. Fueled by our unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, we persevered through these challenges and brought ORIHIME to fruition.

Today, ORIHIME is highly regarded by doctors and POP patients.
It transcends its role as a mere surgical aid, taking on a significant role in the post-operative phase. The development of this product marks a great leap forward, not only for the lives of countless women, but also for our company as a whole.
